Zeiss Ikon Box tengor 54/2

This is another camera that has a place close to my heart. It used to belong to my grandfather that I liked very much. Unfortunately he died too young at sixtyfive when I was only nine years old. I later got it as a gift from my grandmother.

I guess this was the kind of camera a young mailman like my granddad could afford in the early thirthies. Its simple but has some nice features. There are three apertures, f11, f18 and f25 but only one shutterspeed, if you dont count the bulb setting as a speed. There is three focusing zones, 1m, 4m and infinity. The film used is 120 and the size of the negative is 6×9 cm.

My granddad used it quite a lot but unfortunately I dont have any images scanned from it. Someday I will put a film in it and give it a try, I promise…
